Pull in Leads with Content Based on FAQ
You don’t need to be a “content creator” to win at inbound marketing.
You just need to answer the questions your customers already ask you every week.
Here’s a simple system.
Step 1: Write Down Your Top 10 Questions
Grab a notebook or open Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Notes app, anything.
Write down the questions you hear all the time, like:
- “What’s the best material for _______?”
- “How much does it cost to refinish my _______?”
- “How long does a _______ job take?”
- “What’s the process with insurance if my _______ gets (water/fire/storm) damaged?”
If you’re stuck, ask:
- Your office manager
- Your crew lead
- Your past customers
- Check your email/text history
Step 2: Answer Each Question in Detail
For each question:
- Talk it out into a voice note and use it as a caption, an outline for a blog post, or a script for a short video.
- iPhone and other apps will automatically make a written transcription of your voice recording, making it easy to copy and paste.
- Or simply write it out in plain language
Few things to cover:
- The context
- The pros and cons
- What affects pricing or timing
- Common mistakes/misunderstandings
- When DIY is fine vs when to call a pro
You don’t have to sound like a professor. Just be honest and clear. Be concise (brief and to the point).
Step 3: Turn Each Answer into Multiple Pieces of Content
For each question, you can create:
- 1 blog post (great for SEO + AI search)
- 1–2 short videos (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, YouTube)
- Make sure to fill out each video’s heading and description in detail.
- 1–2 social posts (carousel or before/after with explanation)
That’s easily 3 pieces of content per question and 30+ pieces of content from your top 10 questions.
Why blogs specifically?
- Search engines and AI tools still rely heavily on analyzing text when they give users results.
- They can skim headings, subheadings, and paragraphs quickly
- A clear written answer makes it easier for them to match you to the right search
Bottom Line
Stop overthinking “content.”
- Start with your real customer questions
- Answer them well
- Turn each answer into blogs + videos + socials
- Rinse and repeat
Answer the question well, and you’ll have a good shot to show up to people who are already searching, and those leads will be warmer because you already helped them before they even called.
